5th Aug 08ENGLAND HOCKEY NEW CODE OF ETHICS AND BEHAVIOUR
Important News on England Hockey New Code of Ethics and Behaviour
All,

Please see below details from EH on the new Code of Ethics and Behaviour.
You will need to familarise yourself with the changes that affect umpiring for the coming season.

The information below is being sent to all clubs, organisations and members of the hockey family. As the EH Code of Ethics and Behaviour is applicable to all of the hockey family, please may I ask you to forward this information to your members and sub-groups at your earliest convenience.
We hope that this will explain the key areas of the Code but do also encourage you to read the full document, particularly the Red Card and Match-day Misconduct Reporting Procedure and the new Disrepute Regulations.

A new Red Card / Match-day Misconduct Report Form will be posted to the EH website in August. Again we would appreciate it if you would kindly inform your umpires and sub-groups accordingly.

Thank you for your assistance. If anyone has any questions, please will you refer them to the National Discipline Officer at this address: discipline@englandhockey.org

England Hockey Code of Ethics and Behaviour

During the recent England Hockey roadshows, the subject of behaviour within the game was one of
the hot topics. Following ongoing work, England Hockey has now brought together all of the
existing codes of conduct and created the new Code of Ethics and Behaviour which will provide a
benchmark for acceptable behaviour within our sport.
The Code simplifies and standardises previous procedures and will allow all of the Hockey
Family to work to one set of common standards.
The Code will come into effect on 1st September ready for the new season and will apply across
the sport in England .

A Summary of the Code of Ethics and well as the full Code of Ethics can be found in the Web Handbook ohn the main page of the SCHUA web site for everyone to down load and read or on the EH web site,
http://www.englandhockey.co.uk, click on Equity and Ethics and it is the first two documents on the right hand side under links/documents.

1st Aug 08Membership Details
For everyone's information, I shall be submitting details very soon for the Kent Handbook. Please ensure that your contact details are completely up-to-date asap on the website.
